🧀🫓 Blue Cheese Appetizer
First published March 11, 2026
This is the kind of appetizer that makes people ask for the recipe, then not believe you when you tell them. Canned biscuits, a stick of butter, and blue cheese. That’s it. Cut, pour, sprinkle, bake. Twenty-five minutes from fridge to table.
Total time: 25 minutes (10 minutes prep, 15 minutes baking)
Steps
Prep (10 minutes)
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Rub a 9-inch pie plate with a little butter from the stick.
- Cut each biscuit from 1 (10 oz) can refrigerated biscuit dough into quarters.
- Arrange the biscuit pieces inside the buttered pie plate.
Bake (15 minutes)
- Melt 1 stick salted butter and pour it evenly over the biscuits.
- Top with 5 oz crumbled blue cheese (nothing fancy, the grocery store kind works great).
- Bake at 350°F for 10-15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Sprinkle with dried rosemary or parsley if you want.
Make it fancy
- Drizzle with honey and finish with flaky sea salt.
- Toss in dried cranberries for festive color.
