Lillie’s Q made a Hot Pepper Vinegar kettle chip, No. 15 in their Southern Tradition line. I bought them at Ballard Market all the time, and they were my favorite chips. Abigail liked them too. They were her first spicy snack.

Earlier this month I couldn’t find them anywhere. The Lillie’s Q store now sells only sauces, rubs, and gift sets, and Amazon lists the whole chip line as unavailable. So I emailed and asked whether they were discontinued or just out of stock. The reply came from OWS Foods, the company behind Lillie’s Q:

So if you’re searching for them too: yes, Lillie’s Q Hot Pepper Vinegar Kettle Chips are discontinued, along with the rest of the Lillie’s Q chip line. Any store listing that still shows them is out of date.

We’re going to miss them.
